In Human Design, the non-self theme is an emotional indicator that a person is not living in harmony with their true nature. Each of the five types has its own non-self theme - for example, frustration for the generator or bitterness for the projector. It signals that one's own strategy is not being followed and serves as a compass for more authentic action.
The projector is one of the five types in the human design system and is found in about 20% of people. Projectors have no defined sacral center and are focused on guiding others, advising and seeing through systems - their strategy is to wait for invitations.
The root center is one of the nine energy centers in the Human Design Bodygraph and is located at the bottom of the diagram. It is a pressure center that regulates stress, drive and the energy to accomplish tasks. A defined root center processes this pressure constantly and reliably, while an open root center absorbs and amplifies the pressure of the environment.
Emotional authority is the most common inner decision-making authority in human design and applies to all types with a defined solar plexus center. It states that reliable decisions should only be made after an emotional wave has passed - i.e. over time. Spontaneous decisions from the high or low of an emotion are considered unreliable here.
In Human Design, the sacral authority is the inner decision-making authority for generators and manifesting generators without a defined solar plexus center. It is based on the immediate bodily reactions of the sacral center - a yes-no signal that expresses itself as a gut feeling or sound. This authority is the second most common after emotional authority.
The Spleen Authority in Human Design is a quiet, in-the-moment inner voice that is focused on safety, health and well-being. It applies to people with a defined spleen center who do not have a defined solar plexus or sacral center. The signal of the spleen appears only once and in the present - it does not repeat itself.
Ego authority in Human Design is a rare inner decision-making authority based on the defined heart center (ego). It applies exclusively to certain manifestors and projectors where the heart center is directly connected to the G-center or throat center. Decisions are made here by what the heart really wants - beyond obligations and external pressure.
Self-projected authority is a rare inner decision-making authority in Human Design that applies exclusively to certain projectors. People with this authority find clarity by speaking out loud about their thoughts and feelings - speaking out for themselves brings the inner truth to light. The G-center (self-center) plays the central role here.
The lunar authority is the decision-making authority for all reflectors in human design - the rarest of all five types. Since reflectors have no permanently defined centers, they are oriented to the lunar cycle of 28 to 29 days as a natural decision-making rhythm. A major decision is only made at the end of a complete lunar cycle.
The Bodygraph is the central diagram in Human Design - a graphic representation of a person's nine energy centers, 36 channels and 64 gates. It is calculated from the time, date and place of birth and combines elements from astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah and the chakra system. The bodygraph is considered an individual energy expression and guide for strategy and decision-making.
The incarnation cross in Human Design describes the overarching life mission and the issues that a person is confronted with in this life. It is derived from the four sun gates at the time of birth and the prenatal imprint and thus forms the foundation of the individual energy map. There are 192 incarnation crosses, which are divided into three main groups.
The generator is the most common of the five human design types and is found in around 37% of humanity. Generators have a defined sacral center and thus a powerful, sustainable life energy - their strategy is to respond to what life offers them.
The Manifesting Generator is a hybrid type in Human Design that combines the stamina and life energy of the Generator with the speed of action of the Manifestor. It occurs in around 33% of people and is characterized by versatility, speed and a non-linear lifestyle.
